I am a decorative painter, experienced with murals, faux finishes, texturing, and believed that decorative concrete would be a good addition to my business but did not know how the staining and polishing process was correctly accomplished. Emphasis on CORRECTLY.

I was very excited to take Bob's class after reading his excellent books. I wanted to learn all I could and to erase the fears I had about the "mysteries" of acid stains by going "hands on" under the direction of an expert.

I could not be more pleased with the training I received. Just enough time in the classroom to be given important information then boom! straight to the concrete. Bob had us just dive in, not enough time to be afraid of it and that was just what I needed. Hands on right away. Visual instruction on each step by Bob as he did his sample slab was invaluable. What an encyclopedia of information that man is.

Straight away I knew that decorative concrete was going to be compatible with my current profession. My art experience and faux finish technical ability will compliment the concrete business. I learned how to go through the whole process, using all the equipment
necessary to turn out a beautiful concrete sample. In fact, each of the 4 groups there turned out beautiful samples and the credit goes to the very complete instruction given on each step. Everyone was so excited about what they were producing.

Bob and LeAnn made themselves available to us all as did Barb and Sarge from Kemiko stains. Barb and Sarge gave important information about Kemiko stains and other matters that could not be gained from advertising materials but came up during the course of conversation.

Bob is a great instructor. He kept the class moving along, but took time to answer all questions clearly. No time was wasted in the two days of training. The tuition fee was worth every penny and I can see myself back for another class in the near future.

I (and others from the class I have since been in touch with) came away more EXCITED than ever about the possibilities of decorative concrete and I am definitely going forward with this business. I feel that decorative concrete will be quite prominent in my business as I gain experience. Using Kemiko stains will also be a big part of my decorative concrete business. I felt very comfortable using the products and very pleased with the stain results. I can clearly see the use for the translucent stains as well as
the newer opaque stains.
